As a young girl, Callie, the original Mrs. P., started baking in Memphis Tennessee over 90 years ago. Passing down the baking tradition from mother to daughter, Callie’s daughter, Dee started baking for the church at age 12. Dee Pickenpack (Mrs. P, as she is affectionately called), passed the baking tradition down to her daughter Cheryl, who decided it was time for everyone to experience the joy of eating her grandmother’s delicious pound cakes and rum cakes. So, together Cheryl & Dee formed Mrs. P’s Cakes, started taking orders and was an instant success! Today, Mrs. P’s Cakes supplies premium pound cakes and rum cakes to hundreds of loyal customers.
